Dhunki saree collection collage - handwoven silk sarees, traditional Indian weaving and embroidery craftsmanship

Dhunki began with one goal – bring genuine Indian sarees online to women who love color, tradition, and good craftsmanship, without the extra markup that usually comes in between.

The name carries two meanings. In its literal sense, a dhunki is a traditional bow-shaped tool once used to soften raw cotton before it was spun into thread – a small but essential part of India’s textile story. There’s another meaning too, the one that inspired us most – someone lost in her own colorful world, carefree and dreamy, moving to a rhythm entirely her own. That’s the spirit behind every saree we make: bright, distinct, and meant for a woman who isn’t afraid to stand out.

Our Saree Collection

We bring together fabrics and crafts from across India, so there’s a saree for every mood and occasion. If silk is your thing, explore our silk sarees, silk blend sarees, and tissue sarees, each with just the right amount of shine. For everyday comfort, our cotton sarees and linen sarees are lightweight and breathable, ideal for the Indian summer.

We also work closely with regional Indian crafts – Jamdani sarees, Ikkat sarees, and applique sarees, along with embroidered and printed sarees, each rooted in a specific weaving tradition. Come festival season, browse our festival sarees collection, our year-round summer sarees range, or our boutique collection for weddings and special occasions.

Why Shop Sarees at Dhunki

Every saree on Dhunkifashion.com is chosen for its craftsmanship, not just its look. We work directly with saree makers and weavers across India, so you get authentic fabrics and traditional techniques at honest, transparent prices – whether you’re buying a saree for daily wear or a special occasion.

The Founder

Dhunkifashion is founded by Chandraprakash, a NIFT alumnus who set out to connect traditional Indian saree makers directly with the women who’d wear their work – cutting out unnecessary layers, and keeping prices honest.

That idea still shapes everything we do. Explore our full range of sarees by fabric and sarees by craft to find the one that speaks to you.
