Dark green Mangalgiri cotton saree with hand embroidery red pallu, multicolored border. Mangalgiri fabric is soft and lightweight cotton and is best suited for summers. It is characterized by its dual-tone.
Mangalgiri goes through a long process of first dipping cotton yarns in boiling water to eliminate impurities, then soaked and rinsed overnight. The yarns are then sent for dyeing and washed again. The fabric derives its name from Mangalgiri town in Andhra Pradesh.
