White mangalgiri saree with beautiful kalamkari work on pleats and pallu and embroidery buta work all over body. Mangalgiri fabric is soft and lightweight cotton and is best suited for summers. The fabric derives its name from Mangalgiri town in Andhra Pradesh.
Kalamkari is an ancient craft of hand painting cotton fabric. It is a multi-step process where the painting is done using ‘Kalam’ or ‘tamarind pen’ with natural dyes.
